This Week's Frefe Lance The departure of the New Zealand delegation to the World Economic Conference is prominently featured in the pictorial section of this week's New Zealand Free Lance. The Canterbury College students' "Capping Day" revels were this year particularly bright and many clever skits and burlesques on curi'ent world events were presented. The hest of these are pictured in the Free Lance, and make a very interesting and amusing series of pictures. Photos of the New Zealand soccer representatives now touring Anstralia and the Australian 'Varsity Rugby team now touring New Zealand are also contained in this issue. The wfeekly Rugby article by Mark Nicholls deals with the Wallabies' forthcoming tour of South Africa.

Children's Social The PresbytOfian Ladies' Guild held a very enjoyable social for the you'ng people on Wednesday evening dn St. Johh's Hall. The evening was .spent in games and eompetitions, both young and old joinihg in tiie fun. The lucky winners in the various eompetitions were Miss C. Bee, Mrs. E. Robertson and Miss B. Simpson. A dainty supper coricluded a happy evening.
