The list of entries includes _ a large number of local players and the experience gained by them in com- ( petition with outside players should be of great value individually and to vthe club. Every effort has heen made , by the Rotorua management committee to ensure success, and in their usual efficent manner the secretary, Miss Dannefaerd, and Miss Snodgrass (captain), and veteran and winner of many tournaments have . completed the organisation of the fixture. The course has never been in finer ; order, both as to greens and fairways. The clearing of certain areas will obviate delay in Iooking for lost balls, ahd speed up play. A useful /improvement is the path down from No. 14 tee. The old track was slimy to a degree in winter months. The teeing grounds have heen topdressed and the marks will he set to a more . exacting limit than in cluh play. The i decisive f actor, the weather, is in the hands of the bureau aloft.
