MAN LOSES £1000 IN NOTES DOESN'T ' MlSS IT

Dunedin, Saturday. An astonishing loss and recovery of £1000 provided a minor sensation yesterday. A man drew the suiri in 10 notes of £100 each for a dehenture investment and was carrying them in his hip pocket wrapped in ; paper. He made a call at a. warehouse, apparently dropping the notes ' on the floof when pulling his handkerchief from his pocket. They were found hy a warehouse clerk, Mr. Denis Smith, a well-known New Zea'land cricketer, and handed to the managqr. ' Curiously the loser did not miss the notes- til'l a companion in the evening mentioiied that it was rumourfed that someone with more money than sense, had dropped a thousand pounds. . : " '
