YOUNG MAN DISCOVERED IN UNCONSCIOUS CONDITION

Auckland, Monday. David Ellis, aged 17 years, a storeman, was found unconscious and gravely injured lying on the main road at Takapuna at six o'clock last night. He died almost immediately in a jnearby house, death being apparently due to head injuries. Detectives and police have since been searching for a car which it is believed struck deceased and which is reported to have carried no headlights.
