.WAIMANA BRANCH MEETS A well attended meeting of the Women's Institute was held in the Waimana Hall on Tuesday, May 2, Mrs. Woodfield presiding over a large attendance. After business was dealt with', lcnitting was the order of the day and a roll call of knitting hints brought forth many useful ideas. Mrs. Jerram gave an interesting report on the recent federation meeting and musical items were rendered by Mesdames Campbell and Gooch, of Taneatua and by Miss Westlake. A prize for puff pastry was presented to Mrs. H. Bell, while Miss Westlake won the musical- competi- ! tion. The1 shield for the potato grow- j ing competition recently won by the j institute was on display. Th'e host- j esses were Mesdames Marra, Jerram, Olsen and King. !
