GOVERNOR'S RETURN

LANDING AT AUCKLAND FROM DIOMEDE TO-DAY Auckland, Thursday. His Excellency the GovernorGeneral, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe, will return from their Island cruise by H.M.S. Diomede tomorrow. Aceording to official advice, . the vessel will arrive in the stream from Raratonga at 7 a.m. and will berth an hour later at the Sheerlegs wharf. The Vice-Regal party will disembark at 10.15 a.m. from the. commodore's pinnace at the Admiralty steps, where a guard of honour from the Auckland Training College section of the 1st Battalion of the Auckland Regiment (C.O.R.) will he in attendance. As his Excellency lands a salute of 19 guns will be fired by the .'Royal New Zealand Artillery from guns placed on the reclamation near .the vehicular ferry.
