Baromoters high over the whole of Aus- p tralia. Forecast: Winds moderate to strong north-westerly to westerly, backing shortly to south -westerly. Weather: Changeable in districts with a westerly aspect with intermittent, and in places, heavy rain. Mainly fair to fine in eastern districts9 but later some scattered showers more especiaily in high country. Temperatures becoming cooler to-morrow. Following are the barometer maxlmum and minimum thermomefier, sunshine, and rainfall rea'dings recorded at the Government Observafcion Statiori by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended ai 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 30.40ins. Thermometer (max.) 64.0deg. Thermometer (min.) 55.8degi Thermometer (min. on grass) 53.2deg. Rainfall 0.40ins. Bright Sunshine 1.7hrs.
