MAJESTIC THEATRE

9 TO-NIGHT. . The supreme emotions of the age°ld melody embodied in a screen photoplay that will remain vivid in your memory for all time, such is The latest British Dominions production, "In a Monastery .Garden," which opens 1 to-night at 'the Majestic Theatre. A more beautiful screen story would be hard to visualise, and certainly has never before been unfolded on the sound screen, as the Majestic Theatre patrons will agree when they see this powerfully, yet touchingly told story of the supreme sacrifice made by a map for his brother. "In a Monastery Garden" is an unusual film, inasmuch as it contains the entertaining ingredients of half a dozen pictures. It commences in a monastery garden, and, as the tale is gradually unfolded, we visit ballrooms, cabarets and even ballets, and see the intrigue and jealousies behind the hypocritical love that one brother extends to another. A cast representing the very pick of the stage and screen talent available in England were all selected on their own individual merit to p-ortray the numerous importaht roles they have been assigned. John Stuart, debonair and handsome star of "Atlantic," occupies the stellar role in a most convincing and capable manner. Joan Maude, who is a fit applicant for the title of th'e most beautiful woman on the English sound screen, looks after the feminine interest in an extremely capable manner. HumberstoUe Wright, another old screen favourite, also has a stellar role.
