GOOD SCORES REGISTERED AT ROTORUA CLUB SHOOT RANGE IMPROVED The Rotorua Rifle Club opened its season on Tuesday night with a very good attendance. The president, Mr. ,W. Winslade, in opening the shoot, thanlced the committee for their good work last year and also for their untiring efforts in inxproving the range for the comfort of the members this season. He then asked Miss R. Owens to fire the first shot. Miss Owens most auspicionsly scored a bull. The shooting was very good and a great improvement oix last season's 'first night. A match was then fired between '■two teams, President versus Secretary, the match resulting in a handsome victory of 70 points for the president's team- * The following membex*s scored 58 ■and ovex\ W. Mcllroy 61, L- Henderson 61, W. Currie 59, R. Fairley 58, F. Stewart 58, H. Montague 58, The competitions start next Tuesday and it is hoped to see as many ■members as possible present. Very few ladies were present on the open- ' ing night, but a good muster at the 'next shoot is expeeted. Everythirig posible has been done for the members' comfort during the winter months in order to popularise the club.
