ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY LETTER OF APPRECIATION SENT TO OHINEMUTU PEOPLE J AUSTRALIAN SWIMMERS' VISIT Appreciation of the hospitality extended the four New Soiith. Wales swimmers, Messrs. 0. Griffiths, F. Griffiths, V. Besomo and C. Philips and of the presentation of a shield for Australian competitioii by Te Arawa tribe and the /Ohinemutu Swimming Club was receijved by Mr. H. Tai Mitchell, president |of the club during the week from th'e secretary of the New South Walps Amateur Swimming Association. An interesting feature of the letter, which is published jnereunder is the statement that arranjrements have /been made with the Nl. Z„ Government Agent in Sydney t|o display the ■shield at the Sydney Tpurist Bureau thereby making it serve/ as a valuable ! advertisement for the /Dominion and I Rotorua in particular. "It was unanimously decided to thank you?.* club for the Shield and to inform you that it will be awarded annually to thte winner of the 100 yards Champiomship of N. S.
