The relieving matron, sisters and nursing staff of the Opotiki Hospital held a very pleasantceVening of hridge on Friday, the occasion being the I 21st birthday of Nurse Hani, j There were four tahles of cards, j Miss Jean Kirkbride being the winner I of the ladies' prize and Mr. E. Bai- | g-ent of the gentlemen's. j A delicious supper was served to | | the guests, who included Misses J. | Todd, P. Holloway, J. Kirkbride, and I Sister Phillips, Sister Duffill and ' Nurse Glass. Messrs H. G., Sianpson, H. Satchwell, C. Wolfenden, P. Kayes, E. Baigent, E. Larmer, K. Forhes and Thompson.
