AUSTRALIA DECIDES ON AMENDMENT TO RULES BOARD OF CONTROL DECISION : " 1

Melbourne, April 29. Sitting until an early hour this morning, the Board of Control- decided on aetion to prevent "body-ljne" bowling in Australian crickfet and has asked the Marylebone to take similar action. ' ' " " • * : Messrs Hartigan, Noble, Woodfull and Richardson, who were lappoifited to 'consider the question submitted the following recommendation as an addition to the laws of cricket:— ' "Any ball- delivered which in the opinion of th'e umpire is bowled at the batsman with intent to intimfidate or injure him, shall be c'onsidered unfair and 'no ball' shall be cailed, ' and, the bowler notified of the reaaori. ' ' "If ihe offenee is repeated by the sanie bowler in the same innings he shall immediately be instructed by the' umpire to cease bowling and the over" sb51.ll be - regarded "'as completed. Such bowler shall n'ot again be permitted to boWl 'during -the ■course of ' the innings 'thfen'iii progress."
