The Government meteorolofllst issuecl the following weather report and' forecast f»st nia'ht: — General situation: The pressure situation is very complex; an anticyclone is moving on to southern New Zealand and a depression is centred over the north Tasman, while another j is approabhing from eastern Australia. ' Forecast: Winds moderate to strong northerly at first from Nelson and Marlborough 'northward, but a change to southerly or south-easterly advancing from the south. Weather: Still rather unsettled with scattered rain, but improving in the western and southerh districts of the South Island; temperatures cooler.
