GIRLS' CLUB
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. There wa3 a pleasing number of members present at the annual general meeting of St. Luke's Girls' Club, held in the elub-rooms last week. Archdeacon F. W. Chatterton presided. In his opening remarks, th'e chairman wished the club every success for the ensuing year iand hoped that the good work they hadi done in the past would help to draw many more members into the club'>3 cirele. The Rev. Mr. Corbin presented the club with two handsome pictures — these were most gratefully accepted and the donor thanked for his igenerosity iand interest in the club's affairs. The election of ^officers resulted as follows: — President, Miss M. Mactier; vice-presidents, Mrs. J. Mewburn, Mrs. J. Hemphill, Miss Hitchens, Miss R. Owens; committee, Miss D. Hamilton, Miss G. Dillon, Miss W. Allen, Miss S. Wilson, Miss M. Lasenby; secretary, Miss G. Pakes; treasurer, Miss I. Wright. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair.
