(Press Assn.-
LOOKING FOR GOLD
-By Teleg-raph — Copyright) .
Blenheim, Thursday. While working on the railway line south of Blenheim, a gang surfaceman observed a small boy playing round a haystack. The man bore in mind the fact that James Colin Gray, the nine year old.son of Mr. P. W. Gray, of South Street had been missing since Saturday, and called the boy over and interrogated him. He was identified by the description. The boy was brought back to Blenheim where he was handed into the charge of his father. The boy was said to be thin and ill looking. He had been hiding in the hills and lived in the haystack, and had subsisted on anything he could find to eat. He had heard someone say that gold was 'to he found in Wither Hill and had' set out to repair the family fortune. He had been search ing about the gully and sleeping in bushes by night.
