A tropical depression is located west of Fiji. . '* x Forecast: Winds fresh to strong south-westerly to southerly, still reaching gale force in places^ but gradually improving. Weather: Still somewhat unsettled with further scattered showers, mainly on the east coast, some hail in the south and possibly isolated thunder storms, ma'ny frosts inland. Improving generally to-morrow. I Following are the barometer, maxlI mum and minimum thermom?4er, sunshine, and rainfall rea'dings recorded at the Government Gbservation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 houra ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
