Council Congratulates Band

On the motion of Crs. O. H. Coleman and L. J. Bayfeild, the Rotorua Borough Council resolved last evening to felicitate the bandmaster and members of the Rotorua Municipal Band on its performances at Easter at Hamilton. The mayor mentioned that the. council could congratulate itself on taking the steps to form the band and at the results of its officers. Cr. Johnson's view was that the band's win had been a great advertisement for Rotorua, and he felt proud of them. The Citizens who had .transported the band also came in for the thanks of the council.
