COAL STRIKE
ALL WAIKATO COMPANIES INTERESTED TO CONFER Auckland, Wednesday. A development in the Waikato coal mining situation is a decision to hold a meeting of companies concerned in 'the dispute which has rendered several .collieries idle. The meeting will b,e held under the 'auspices of the Northern Coal Miners' Association, and invitations to attend have been extended to Glen Afton, Taupiri, Pukemiro, Renown and Hikurangi companies. Mr. T. O. Bishop, secretary of the 'New Zealand Coal Miners' Association, will attend the meeting. f The position on the coal fields is 'that Taupiri, Glen Afton and Renown are still' idle.
