Powell • and Company, general dealers at Cardiff, 'but. she left the district in 1912 after her husband- died. Later she married'an American citizen named Courtland Eugenie Durand, and in 1920 another receiving order, in bankruptcy was made aigainjst debtor. She' was then trading under the style of Rex Durand. " She was again adjudged bankrupt. Her preliminary examination in the London Bankruptcy Court having been concluded,- .s'he went to Paris, where ;she. now resided in the Boulevard du Montparnasse. • In Paris sh'e met a French invantor, Louis. Dufay, with' whorn she entered into joint venture relatlng to certain processes in respect of colour photOgraphy. She enlisted the interest of certain people in JEngla&d iu the, in-r vention, which was eventually patent- S ed all over the world as the Dufay jj Colour Patents. ... I . Debtor had worked with the sole jj object of dischaaigdng in fulb the'.claims f of all the creditors, wh'o had -now been paid in full. : ■ ' In November, 1931, the Official Re- j! ceiver in the London bankruptcy in- 1 tervened and claimed the whole of | debtor's. interests in the patents, and | processes. He - was paid a sum of | £8000, which was. isufficient to dis- | charge th'e claim's in the Cardiff and II London bankruptcies, 1 The Official Recaiver of Cardiff said | that he had received £822 in respect | of the Cardiff bankruptcy, together | with a further sum of £1230,. suffi- 1 cient to pay full interest from 1902 f to 1920, and all costs. | Judge C. C. Th'omas granted the dis- | charge, whereupon Mr. Temple Morris i said that a isimilar application could | now be made in London in respect of | the bankruptcy there. 1
