PERSONNEL OF COMMISSION SHORTLY TO BE ANNOUNCED

Wellington, Wednesday. In a statement, the Minister of Customs, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, said that he expected to be able to announce the personnel and erder of reference of the proposed tariff commission very shortly. The commission will be set up in aceordance with the undertaking given by the Government at the Ottawa Conference that the Dominion will hold a tariff inquiry for the purpose of finding out whether any industries are u-neeonomic and whether in any respect the British manufacturer does not have a reasonable opportunity to sell in New Zealand.
