MAJESTIC THEATRE

TO-DAY AND TO-NIGHT Lavish settings are a feature of "His jRoyal Highness," which opened last night at the Majestie Theatre. This is an original comedy by the popular comedian'George Wallace, who has in it has first starring role on the talking screen. "His Royal Highness" is the first musical picture made in Australia, and Mr. F. W. Thring, managing director of Efftee Film Productions, believes that the results will justify further concent^ation on musical subjeets. In George Wallace, Mr. Thring believes he has found a screen comedian likely to receive 1 world- wide recognition. Beryl Walkley, a former musical comedy favourite, is another member of the cast, and h'er singing numbers are certain to become pupular. They comprise "Game of Love" and the duet "Conspiracy," sung with Lou Vernon., "His Royal Highness" has been made. on a production scale surpassing anything before attempted in Australia, and the Palace scenes are particularly fine; in addition to this the picture, with' the inimitable comedian George Wallace n the leadng role, is one long laugh from start to finish. A wonderful selection of sorts are also shown.
