SACRIFICED HIS MOTHER
CAR DRIVER?S ORDEAL. Rather than kill his passengers a driver of a trolley car in Minano, Japan, ran his car into 'his aged mother. Now he is trying to nurse her back to health, but she has little chance for recovery. As he was driv- ' in'g his car across a bridge h'e aw two women a few yardsi in front of him. One was his mother. If he stop-p-ed the car in so short a distance it would be derailed and crash down to the river. That would kill th'e passengers. So he let the car! rush on. His mether was flung into the river 60 feet below iand her cottnpanion was seriously injured.
