Mexico City, April 15. Josephus Daniells, the new United States Ambassador, arrived to-day. His reception at the station was without incident. He was preceded from the train by a dozen detectives, while more than 200 policemen and detectives were on duty at the station. The police disclosed that an attempt had been made on Friday to wreck the train. A section of the rail was taken out near the town of Morales, about 50 miles north of Monterey, but the attempt was discovered in time.
