CLOSE CONTEST IN THE FINAL STAGES Christchurch, Saturday. During the Canterbury golf championship to-day, J. Millard, at the short ninth (152 yards), holed in one. The championship final resulted in a tie between J. Millard and J. Galloway, who both took 150 for two rounds. In the afternoon Millard took 76 and Galloway 75.
