Fqrecast: Winds westerly to southwesterly, strong in places, but mainly light to moderate and decreasing. Weather: Some scattered showers in westerrl and far southern districts, but improving a'nd elsewhere fine. Temperatures moderate. Following are the barometer, maxlmum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Sta* ' tion by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at' 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
