QUOTATIONS REMAIN FIRM AT FRANKTON SALE

Hamilton, Tuesday. There was a good yarding of ox and cow beef at the weekly stock sale at the Frankton yards to-day, when quotations remained firm.'Sheep were penned in good numbers, and here again quotations showed little alteration. There was a big yarding of pigs, and last week's values were maintained. Quotations : — - Beef. Heavy fat bullocks, £6 5s to £6 12s 6d; lighter fat bullocks, £5 10s to £6; light fat bullocks, £5 to £5 [7s 6d; heavy fat cows, £3 10s to £3 18s 6d; lighter fat cows, £2 18s to £3 7s 6d; light fat cows, £1 17s 6d to £2 7s 6d. Sheep: Fat wethers, 13s to 14s 6d; lighter fat weth,ers, 11® 9d to 12s 6d; prime maiden ewes, to 12s 6d; fat ewes, 7s* 6d to 8s; fat lambs 11s to 13s 6d.
