MAJESTIC THEATRE
TONIGHT. Another Gene Gerrard laughterraiser, this time with a 'Rnritanian setting opens to-night at the Majestic Theatre with the B.I.P. star as an illustrious but hard up monarch of Karaslavia. Gus MeNa.ughton, who gives a lively portrayal of Hndson E. Greener of Boston, Mass., the King's right hand man, suggests a little transacting- with the Crown jewels, and the two, with' guard, repair to England. Here adventures follow thiclc and fast with Gene under the incognito of "Mr. Abdullah," and Gus inyited to a Duke's eountry house party, where they are suspeeted of being a couple of-crooks (the suspicions igi'eatly enhanced by the latter's enthusiasm for combining pleasure and business and profusely displaying the Crown jewels), and Gene making passionate love to the Duke's daughter, Moira. Matters are further complicated by the- arrival of two loyal Karaslavians who lurk in the grounds awaiting an opportunity to avenge their motherland and shoot the king. In addition to Gene Gerrard and Gus McNaughton, the cast also contains Molly Lamont, as the lovely Lady Moira ;Spencer Trevor, as the irate Duke; Hal Gordon, Ian Fleming and Tonie Bruce.
