PARADE IN PARISH HALL ON TUESDAY EVENING. SWIMMING B'ADGES WON.
The Opotiki Girl Guide Company met in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evening under the eommand. of Lieut. D. McNee, Captain Morell being unavoidably absent. After .the usulal inspection and business had been dealt with, the cooking badge was discussed, several igirls being very interested. The new. membens, wero taken with Tenderpad work and the patrols were dismissed to their corners. The evening concluded with the singing of "Taps." Successful Rangers. Advice has been received from C'aptain Mlartin, of the Opotiki Ranger Company, that the following Rangers were isuccessful in passing the swimfming test for their swimming badges: Rangers Dorothy Lee, Gladys Carruthers, Jean Mclntosh', Lorna Abbot, Ngaire Hollard, Eileen Vazey. Mr. Ormiandy, who was examiner, was ver-y pleased with the performances the Riangers igave and wiishes the girls to form a life saving crew.
