Canberra, April 5. Following Mr. J. G. Latham's (Aet-ing-Prime Minister) statement in the House of Representatives, Mr. Bell (Tasmania), asked if it was conceivable that potatoes from New Zeaiand should be admitted to Victoria while Victoria continued to impose an em-
bargo against Tasmanian potatoes hecause' of a disease prevalent also in New Zeaiand potatoes. ■ Mr. Latham said the Government recognised the anomaly, and the matter was under consideration.
