(Rec. April 5.) Calcutta, April 4. There was an unfortunate anticlimax to the scccessful flight over Mount Everest. The aeroplane left Pruna in the niorning to reconnoitre Kinchinjunga, and made a forced landing in unapproachable ground, 60 miles from the base. ; The Marquis of Clydesdale has j left in a second maehine with supj plies of food and water. There is no news of casualties, and j it is believed all are well.
