FOUR PERSONS KILLED CAR OUT OF CONTROL DROPS FORTY FEET RETURNING FROM CABARET

Wellington, Sunday. Four lives werefltost when a. large1 tpuring car plunged over a .bank at Island. ,Bay early on .Sunday morning and another person is in hospital seriously injured. The driver of the car, Fred Hooker, was unhurt. The killed were J^mes Hpnry Wpod and' his wife Marjorie, of 22 Aurora Terrace. Miss Olga Beryl Dardebes, 27 Nairn Street. Ernest Joseph Dixon, Waverley Private Hotel, Marion Street. The injured person is Miss M. Morris, of 25 Washington Avenue. The party was returning from the recently opened Crow's Nest Cabaret, which is situated on a high hill. The car was proceeding down Milne's Terrace, and by' some means got. out of control, broke through a . railing and dropped 40 feet to Derwent Street, breaking another fence on the way. . Four were killed outright, hut Dixon died on the way to the hospital.
