APPRECIATION OF RUGBY UNION PRESIDENT'Sn WORK Several tributes to the work done by the president, Mr. T. S. Robertson, who was re-eleeted unopposed, were paid hy those preseiit at the annual general meeting of the Rotorua Rugby sub-union last night. • Mr. L. Clarke said that the Rotorua Rugby Union had never had a president who had done as much work as Mr. Robertson, and he was particularly gratified to know that the control of Rugby in the town was still in Mr. Robertson's hands. These remarks were supported by Mr. L. Dixon and hy Mr. W. G. Harwood, who said that he had been eonnected with many such bodies ahd considered Mr. Robertson an ideal man for the position. In him the union had a president who was not only content'to talk, bnt had taken his coat off and done' much work for the game. Mr. T. Anderson said he was pleased to see that Mr. Robertson had again eonsented to hold the offiee of president and stated that during his' 25 years' experienee of Rugby in Rotorua, the game had never had a president who had given the same attention to it as Mr. Robertson. Replying, Mr. Robertson. said that it had been a .pleasdre to work "vyith the previous year's executive, who had attended meetings well. He could not say the same of delegates, howev'er, and appealed to them to take more interest in the happenings eonnected with the game during the e'oming sea-, son.
