Wellington, Wednesday. The National Council of Women adopted recommendations that domeStics in private employment should not be exempt from the wages tax, and also carried a remit recommending that women, whose total income didnot exceed £52 a year, should be exempt from unemployment tax. Another remit adopted urged all branches to do all in their power to strengthen public opinion in regard to employers who take advantage of the presCnt fihancial condition to reduce unfairly the standard of 'wages and conditions of domCstic workers. ' Other remits carried recomm'ended the estahlishment of women police in New1 Zealand, and urged that the broadcasting hoard should be asked to set aside a period each week during- the evening session, -for subje'cts of interest to women other than do- . mestie. -
