Th,a Government meteorolonlst issued the following weather report and forecast fest niffht:— Ge'neral situation: A very slight depression is advancing on to New Zealand but otherwise pressure is high from South Australia to beyond New Zealand. Forecast: Winds light to moderate and variable. Weather: For the most part fair to warm, but isolated showers still likely, more especially in the South Island. FpIIowing are the barometer,, maxlmum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Departj ment for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 29.883ins. Thermometer (max.) 70.0deg. Thermometer (min.) 57.5deg. Thermometer (min. on grass) 55.8deg. Rainfall 2.21ins. Bright Sunshine nil
