OHINEMUTU CLUB GAIN INTER-CLUB BANNER FROM ROTORUA CARNIYAL AT HAMILTON

Hamilton, Last Night. There was a large attendance at the South Auckland swimming cehtre's carnival held in the Municipal Bath this evening to witness tbe appearance of the Australian swimmers. The decision of the men's 75yds. South Auckland championship title also added interest to the carnival, and a popular win was secured by W. Whareaitu (Rotorua). The result of events featuring the Australian and Rotorua swimmers were as follows: — 33 l-3yds Girls' Championship of Champions: — E. Enso'r "(Morrinsville), 1; W. Pango (Rotorua), 2. Men's Invitation 50yds. — C. Phillips (N.S.W.), 1; W. Whareaitu (R), 2; F. Griffiths (N.S.W.), 3. Time, 25 4-5s. Won by touch. 220yds Men's Invitation. — V. Resomo (N.S.W.), 1; O. Griffiths (N.S.W.), 2. Time, 2m 44s. South Auckland Championship, 75 yds. — W. Whareaitu (R).," I; M; McRae (Ohinemutu), 2. Time, 45s. 50yds. Ladies' 33 l-3yds. Ilahdicap. — W. Pango (R), 1; N.
