CROQUET AFTERNOON

PROGRESSIVE TOURNAMENT The usual progressive croquet afternoon which had heen postponed from last week, owing to wet weather was held yesterday at the cluh lawns, there being a good number of members present. The bleakness of the day rather marred the afternoon's enjoyment, nevertheless eompetifeion was keen in both sections and several good cards were returned. i* The winner in the A section was j Mrs. C. H. C. Worthington, with Mrs. , C. R. Lloyd second, while Mrs. T. j Parata first, and Mrs. Herd second, j were the successful competitors in | the B section. Among those present were: — Mrs. W.
