PRINCESS ELIZABETH HOSPITAL
LONDON IN STITUTI ON RENAMED A children's hospital in London has been named the Prineess Elizabeth' of Yorlc Hospital for Children. It was formerly named the East London Hospital for Children, at Shadwell. It was originally started by Nathaniel . Heckford, a young doctor and his wife. On their first wed'ding anniversary, in 1868, they opened their little 10-bed hospital. The first little patient was taken off a heap of straw in & hovel in Gin Alley.
