The Government meteorolonlst issued the folIowinQ weather report and forecast 5a>st niffht: — General situation: An anti-cyclone has been crossing the Dominion to-day and a rather intensive depression is situate over the eastern Taeman Sea. Forecast: Winds, light anil variable, but tending northerly and later southerly. Weather: Fair and fine fiienerally with warm temperatures and clouds increasing in the western diatrict. Showers will develop soon on the West Coast and in the far southern portions of the South Island. Followlng are the barometer, tnaxlmum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings reoorded ' at the Government Observation Station by the-Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
