Ngata) : — (1) If he is aware that a nujnher of Maoris who h'ave made applicatiop. for registration under the Unemployment Act have not received any acknowledgement of their applications. (2) If he is -aware that a number who have r.egistered under the Act are not getting any employment apd are suffering acutely as a consequence. ' (3) "Will he make immediate' inquiries with a view to placiffg the Maoris on a more satisfactory basis. Sir Apirana Ngata said th'e question of unemployment amongst the Maoris^ was a matter for the Unemployment Board.
