DIES WHILE ON HOLIDAY VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND
SINKS UNDER OPERATION Christcbui"ch, Friday. Dr. Wright, Archbishop of Sydney, and Primate of Australia, died at the St. George Hospital this afternoon. Dr. Wright had been spending a holiday at Hanmer Springs. He became ill on Sunday and on medical advice he was brought to Christchurch on Wednesday evening, and entered the hospital. His condition grew serious and on Thursday the doctors decided that an operation was imperative, and this was performed at 10.30 this morning, The patient's strength, however, was unequal to the shock. The Archbishop revived for a brief period, but collapsed and died at 12.40 p.m.
