Forecast: Wi'nds moderate to strong westerly to north-westerly, reaching gale force in piaces. Weather: Fine in eastrn districts u'nsettled conditions with further rain developing in the western and „far soutlxern districts and on high levels; some heavy falls on the west coast of the South Island; temperatures warm. Following are ihe barometer maxlmum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Sta tion by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 29.677ins Thermometer (max) 72.7 deg. Thermometer (min) 59.7deg. Thermometer (min on grass) 55.5deg. Rainfall 0.2Sins. Bright Sunshine 10.9hrs.
