QUEEN'S SYMPATHY

VISIT OF ROYAL FAMILY Rec. Feb. 22. London, February 21. The Queen and the Duchess of Yorlc and other members of the Royal Family visited the New Zealand exhihit at the industries fair. The Queen sympathised with the difficulties of the farmers. The Duchess expressed pleasure at seeing bottled passion fruit of which she ordered a supply. In the course of their visit to the Australian section of the industries fair the Queen and the Duchess of York were attracted by the display of opals, of which the Duchess is particularly fond. The Duchess spent some time examining the Australian gems and recalled receiving gifts of opals in Queensland.
