A. AND P. DANCE

SHOW TERMINATES WITH VERY ENJOYABLE EVENING The A. and P. Association completed its day of festivity with a dance in the Lyric Hall on Thursday evening. The hall was erowded but in spite of the number of dancers,everyone had a happy time.

The Gaiety Orchestra supp'lied the musie with an extra by Mr. Grace, while Mr. W. Reece was M.C. During the evening the president of the association, Mr. Clem Black, remarked on the record attendance at the show and also the number of entries. He apologised for the absence of Mr. K. S. Williams, M.P., whose Parliamentary duties had prevented him from attending. Mr. Black then presented trophies won during the show and thanked Messrs John Looney and Sons, and Mr. S. M. Jephson, for trophies presented.

A trophy was presented to Mr. B. Black (Whakatane) who has always taken a great interest in the ring events. The president then called upon Mr. Et D/. Clements (Papakura) who briefly expressed his pleasure at being one of the judges and congratulated the association on its excellent show.
