"i: - The Times cricketing correspondent pays a tribute to Jardine and Larwood, who almost entirely deserve the credit for reversing the Australian form. The team had been -young in 1930 and promised lengthy superiority. The Australian conditions demanded the particular solidarity of purpose which Jardine possessed in the fullest degree", and he must he given the full credit for the splendid victory. Larwood transferred the test into a bowler's affair. His fortitude and stamina were remarkable, and he must be granted a place among the greatest fast howlers. The Australian heroes were Woodfull and O'Re.illy. The Australian bowler's perseverance is one of the resplendent features of the test.
