COMMUNISTS KILLED
BITTER STREET FIGHTING. Munich, Jan. 30 A number of Communists were killed and several Communists and Nazis were injured in ffghting following the announcement of Herr Hitler's appointment as Chancellor. Communists evaded the police, who were clearing the streets of hissing and jeering crowds around the Hitler headquarters, where they attacked the Nazi guard and thrashed. several before 50 assailants were arrested. B'ands of belligerent ■ Nazis paraded the streets. Trouble is reported from several Bavarian towns.
