NOEL COWARD'S GREAT PLAY REACHES TALKING SCREEN. "Cavalcade," the picture of the generation, has been officially completed. Produced under the direct supervision of Mr. W. R. Sheehan and directed hy Franlc Lloyd, this tremendous picture has been afforded the most complete production facilities of Fox Films. It will have its world pi'emiere at the Gaiety Theatre in New York some time in January. No picture in years has received so much advance publicity as this picturisation of the famous Noel Coward play which ran for more than eleven months in the Drury Lane Theatre in London. Although British in locale, "Cavalcade" is a theme which strikes close to the heart of all the nations of the earth. It is truly international in
scope as it is possible for any work of art to be. Following are some of the statistics which indicate what a colossal production it is. — Forty featured players; 150 speaking parts; 200 production staff; 15,000 civilians; 10,00 soldiers; 8000 rifle's; 1000 horses; 5000 singers; 50 guns and caissons; 25,000 costumes; four troop'S trains; one troop ship; three Zeppelins 200 automobiles; 50 taxis; 50 hansom cabs; Trafalgar Square; Tilbury Docks; one ocean liner; 500 "dancers; 1000 musicians; St. Paul's Cathedral; Vietoria Station; 15 hlocks London streets. The Gaiety Theatre whs leased by the Fox Film Corporation for an extended showing of the filmisation of Noel Coward's internationally famous "Cavalcade," which played eleven months at the Drury Lane in London. The film, featuring Clive Brook and Diana Wynyard, and for which the entire British company was hroug'ht to Hollywood, will have its premiere in January on a two-a-day schedule.
