WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

WOODLANDS BRANCH The January meeting of the Woodlands Women's Institute was held at th'e residence of Mrs. A. Dickinson, on Wednesday. Ths meeting was an outdoor one, and took place under ideal weather conditions. Mrs. J. Armstrong, president, oecupied the chair, business being made as brief as possible. Clock golf and quoits proved very attractive pastimes, Miss Ngaire Hollard being the fortunate winner of both. A treasure hunt was also organised, Mrs. Noble being successful in this. It is the intention of the institute to have a handcraft exhibition stall at the forthcoming show to be held in February. The saies table did ftonsiderable business, members patronising it liberally. Tennis occupied a great part of the jafternoon. The meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the hostess.
