POLICE COURT

ONE SERIOUS CHARGE Kurei Kingi appeared at the police court on Wednesday charged with alleged indecent assault. Mr. Hodgson appeared for the accused. After the evidence was taken, accused pleaded not guilty and was eommitted to the Supreme Court, Gisborne, for trial. He was admitted to bail in the sum : of £20. The case against John Barrett, Tirohonga (A. Bunkall) who was accused of stealing an axe valued at 5/the property of the j. .W.D., and sundry farm tools and harness valued at £7 9s, the property of Herbert John Williams, was dismissed. W. McAlpine, of Auckland, was fined £1 for negligent driving on Waioeka Road.
