Dalgety and Company, Limited, held the weelcly stock sale at Matamata on Wednesday, when a good entry of all classes of stock came forward, practically all' chang'ing hands 'at prices equal to late rates. A good yarding of pigs sold under keen competition. Prices were : — Cattle. — Light fat steers, £3 15s; fat heifers, £2 2s 6d; fat Jersey cows, £2 to £2 6s; light Jersey cows, £1 7s to £1 12s; boner cows, 12s to 18s; potter bulls, £2 15s; 18-month P.A. steers, £1 14s; 18Tmonth Jersey-cross steers, £1 2s; empty Hereford cows, £1 16s to £1 18s; empty P.A. cows, £1 16s to £2; Shorthorn-Hereford-cfoss cows, £1 18s to £2; 18-month P.A. heifers, £1 to £1 9s; 18-month well-grown Jersey heifers, r.w.b, £3 13s to £4 2s 6d; Jersey-cross heifers,
r.w.b., £1 11s; Jersay heifer calves, £1 2s 6d. Pigs. — Baconers, £1 15s to £1 17s; light baconers, £1 10s to £1 12s; porkers, £1 4s to £1 3s 6d; light porkers, 18s to £1 3s 6d; best stores, 16s to £1 3s 6d; slips, 11s to 16 6d; weaners, 5s to 9s. Sheep. — Fat two-tooth ewes and wethers, 10s 6d; fat ewes, 3s to 4s 6d; fat lambs, 10s 9d; m.s. store woolly lambs, 6s 4d; smaller lambs, 4s 8d to 4s 9d.
