PROPOSED WORLD CONFERENCE IN PARIS THIS YEAR

Wellington, Wednesday. Authorities controlling all important services at lighthouses along the sea coasts of the world are to have a conference in Paris in J«ly next, when representatives of all nations will atsend a delegate to the conferenc-e, but Trinity House, London is being advised by the High Commissioner that it is not possible to detail an officer in the Dominion to attend. The Minister of Marine, the Hon. J. C. Cobbe, stated that arrangements are being made, however, for Mr. Donald J. Harvey, New Zealand Government controlling engineer in London, to represent the Dominion and to submit reports for consideration to the Government.
